About MustDraft

I've been a sports fan my whole life. Football most of all.

I've played fantasy for years now. Draft night with the same group, the group chat that gets unbearable around week 3, the whole thing. If you're reading this you probably know exactly what I mean.

Here's what always got me. Every August I'd end up with about eight tabs open. Rankings on one site. Trade values on another. Projections on a third, because the second one wanted paying for them. Half of them made me create an account before they'd show me a single number. And I'd be sat there on draft night flipping between tabs while the clock ran down on my pick.

I got tired of it. So I built the thing I wanted instead.

That's all this is. One place with the stuff I kept going elsewhere to find. No account for the core tools, no app to install, no paywall on the parts you'd actually use on draft night. If you want to show someone what you're looking at, copy the link and send it. They'll see what you see.

Where the numbers come from

I use a few different forecasters, and they argue with each other constantly. When they do, I show you the disagreement instead of picking a favourite and acting like it's settled.

If a number isn't solid enough to put my name next to, the page says so rather than showing you something that looks confident. There are places on this site where a value is simply missing, and that's deliberate. I'd rather show you nothing than show you a guess dressed up as a projection.

I also publish how the projections actually did, misses included. It's all on the methodology page with the real figures, and some of them aren't flattering.

None of that makes anything here gospel. You still know your league better than any projection does.

Built by a fan, for fans

I'm one person, not a company. Nobody pays me to tell you a player is good.

Whether you're in one league with people from work or four you take way too seriously, everything here is free and it's the same for everyone. There's no tier where the good rankings live.

If there's something you'd use that isn't here, tell me. Half of what's on this site exists because I wanted it for my own team first.

Not affiliated with the NFL

This site is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the National Football League, any of its teams, or any players' association. Team and player names appear here the way they'd appear in a newspaper box score, as facts about the sport.

Corrections

If you spot something wrong, tell me and I'll fix it or take it down. A stat that doesn't match the box score, a stale value being presented as fresh, a headline filed under the wrong category. All of it is worth reporting.

Two things worth knowing before you do. Values and trends refresh on the schedules listed on the methodology page, so a number can be right but old. The timestamp under each module tells you which one you're looking at. And the news categorisation is automated. It errs toward leaving a story unlabelled rather than labelling it wrong, but it still misses sometimes.

Reports genuinely help. I'd rather hear about it than have it sit there.

Curious how it all works?

The methodology page has the honest write-up. Where every number comes from, how often it refreshes, and how the projections have actually performed.
